Abu Dhabi GP tickets to go on sale soon
He believes that in the current financial climate, "the three-day Grand Prix event offers UAE businesses a unique platform to build deeper relationships with existing and potential customers, employees and suppliers".
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be held from October 30 to November 1 this year at the new Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island. Tickets for the Grand Prix go on sale at the end of March and a strong demand is expected.
"The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix offers a unique opportunity for businesses in the UAE to show their support and be associated with this historic milestone for the country," Cregan added.
"People will always remember the company that took them to the first ever Grand Prix in the UAE," Cregan said.
He was previously head of Toyota's F1 team and is believed to have extensive experience in dealing with the needs of sponsorship and event participation by companies. This experience is guiding the development of bespoke packages for companies for the event.
Ranging from block seating, through to unique sponsorship, entertainment and hospitality opportunities, The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the first ever F1 event in the UAE, and the last race of the 2009 season.
According to Cregan, it offers a perfect opportunity for companies to create impact from an investment and to leverage their involvement whether as a host or as a sponsor.
"One of the most pleasing aspects of our job at ADMM is the ability to be able to introduce a whole community to the excitement of motorsport in a way that works for business and families," Cregan said.
"For example, I would encourage human resource managers to think about how they can build an employee motivation scheme around the event."
The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has already secured significant sponsorship from leading UAE and international companies.
Further opportunities exist for other UAE based businesses and international companies doing business in the Emirates.
