Australia Practice 1: Williams cars 1-2
In a real surprise the Williams cars of Nico Rosberg and Kosuke Nakajima ran 1-2 in opening practice for the Australian GP in Melbourne. What's more, both cars set their times on the harder of the two new slick compounds Bridgestone brought to Australia.
The Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen led most of the session after setting fast time on super-soft Bridgestone tires, but right at the end the two Williams cars inched ahead by the slimmest of margins. They were the only 3 cars to get in the 1m26s bracket.
