FIA sets diffuser appeal date
(GMM) F1's governing body has referred the diffuser saga to the FIA Court of Appeal.
The news follows the stewards' decision in Australia to clear the controversial rear designs of the Brawn, Toyota and Williams cars.
Red Bull, Renault and Ferrari had protested the call, and now requested their national sporting authorities officially lodge FIA appeals on their behalf.
"A hearing will be held in Paris on 14 April 2009 at 10am," a statement issued by the FIA read.
The date falls after the Australian and Malaysian grands prix double-header, and on the Tuesday before the following round in China.
