IndyCar drivers to meet fans at Macy’s

IZOD and Macy's on Thursday will celebrate the Centennial Era of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indy 500 with an in-store event featuring professional race car drivers Ryan Hunter-Reay, Graham Rahal and legend Al Unser, Jr.

Customers will get to interact with the IndyCar Series drivers during a meet-and-greet autograph session at the Macy's at South Coast Plaza.

IZOD is introducing IZOD/INDY, a new line of sportswear commemorating 100 years of racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The first 150 customers to make an IZOD apparel purchase of $50 or more today will receive a complimentary IZOD/INDY baseball cap while supplies last and hero card from each of the drivers (one autograph per customer).

In 2009, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway begins celebrating its Centennial Era, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Speedway and the 100th anniversary of the first Indianapolis 500-mile race in 2011.

The IZOD/INDY sportswear line has taken 100 years of exclusive INDY 500 archival artwork and designed distressed, vintage look-and-feel short sleeve polo shirts and tees that reflect and celebrate Indianapolis Motor Speedway's authentic heritage. Also, IZOD/INDY's track inspired solid cotton piques feature official logos and special centennial insignias for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and INDY 500.

The event will take place at 5 p.m. at the Macy's Men's Store, Level 2 at 3333 Bristol St. in Costa Mesa.
