In China, despite setting pole position and racing to the team's first ever win and one-two finish, the Milton Keynes-based squad grappled constantly with inexpensive rubber 'boot' seals.
"It was solved one hundred per cent," Horner told reporters in Bahrain after Friday practice.
The Briton said the team believes the problem has been isolated to a faulty batch of the $5 parts.
"We had done over 6000km of racing and testing and there was no problem in the race on Sunday and no problems at all here, so it looks like a rogue batch," said Horner.
Meanwhile, Ferrari's Stefano Domenicali denied that both Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa had engine problems in Shanghai last Sunday.
Raikkonen could be heard on the radio complaining about a V8 unit that was not working properly, while his teammate Felipe Massa stopped at the side of the track and retired.
"Kimi was complaining as sometimes when you are behind, in that condition when you have a lot of water and rain coming in, you may have one or two laps when the engine is misfiring a bit but then it cleans up and it is fine," Italian Domenicali said.
"For Felipe it was a problem with the ECU, on the software side, that caused the engine to stop," he added.
