FOTA not ready to discuss budget caps with Mosley
The FIA president wrote to teams this week, asking that they respond with their feedback by close of business Thursday about whether 33m euros is a reasonable figure for 2010.
Mosley then wanted to use the feedback to present concrete plans for ratification at the World Motor Sport Council next Wednesday.
Ferrari's Stefano Domenicali on Friday revealed that the Formula One Teams Association did reply to Mosley, but deferred any discussion about budget cap numbers.
Domenicali said the issue will instead be discussed at the next FOTA meeting, which it is understood will take place after the WMSC meeting.
"You know it is a very strategic point for the future of all the teams and for the future of all the constructors, so we need to detail all the points that are connected to the budget cut," he told reporters.
It is believed that while FOTA believes 33m is too low, there is also the widespread belief that the cap should be phased in over a number of years.
