UPDATE Below is a video of the crash:

04/25/09 While running in the opening practice session, Richard Philippe lost control of his Genoa Racing car and spin directly in front of Ali Jackson. Philippe’s car clipped the right rear wheel of Jackson’s car and turned the car into the turn four wall. Jackson and Philippe were transported to the infield care center. Jackson suffered a sprained right thumb and right foot contusion and was released. The Guthrie Meyer Racing team is preparing Jackson’s backup car and Ali hopes to start at the rear of the field in tomorrow’s Kansas Lottery 100. Philippe was released with no injuries.
