NASCAR takes 6 Nationwide engines to test
NASCAR took six engines from Nationwide Series teams to test on the dynamometer, series director Joe Balash said Friday night following the Lipton Tea 250 at Richmond International Raceway.
Engines represented six engine builders as they were taken from the cars of Joey Logano (Joe Gibbs Racing), Jason Leffler (Triad Racing Technologies), Jeff Burton (Earnhardt-Childress Racing Technologies), Brad Keselowski (Hendrick), Justin Allgaier (Penske) and Matt Kenseth (Roush-Yates).

NASCAR occasionally takes engines to test horsepower and see if any rule changes need to be made.
Balash said the group tested four restrictor-plate engines last week after Talladega. Those tested engines came from the cars of D.J. Kennington (Ernie Elliott engines), Carl Edwards (Roush-Yates), Kevin Harvick (Earnhardt-Childress Racing Technologies) and Joey Logano (JGR). Balash said he was pleased with the results of that test.
