Doctors clear Indy Lights driver for practice
Firestone Indy Lights driver Dillon Battistini has been given a medical clearance for practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Battistini was hospitalized for one night after a crash last week at Kansas Speedway. But Indy Racing League medical director Michael Olinger says he has been re-evaluated at the Indianapolis track's medical center and will be allowed to practice for the May 22 Firestone Freedom 100.
The 31-year-old Englishman started from the pole and won last year's race at Indianapolis in the IRL's developmental series.
