Chrysler ups incentives to $4,000

Chrysler LLC announced its latest round of incentives this morning: up to $4,000 off a new 2009 Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge.

"Consumers are telling us that the net purchase price of the vehicle is the most important factor right now, so we are pleased to introduce incentives that address what the consumer is looking for," said Steven Landry, executive vice president in charge of North American sales and marketing.

The incentives take effect today. There also is a $1,000 owner loyalty incentive for those who have a Chrysler-made vehicle, and that offer is good for most 2008 and 2009 models.
