Indy Qualifying Notebook – 2
– Two hours into Pole Day at Indy there are eleven cars that have completed qualification runs. Ryan Briscoe continues his domination, and is on the provisional pole at 224.131 mph. However, look for all of the top cars to make new attempts later on today if the wind abates. The weather at Indy remains unchanged — mid 60's, overcast, and winds gusting to 30 mph. The skies look threatening, but there is absolutely no rain in the area, or in any areas that might predict rain for Indy. Winds are not scheduled to abate until late tonight, so other teams might make runs before happy hour.

Dan, always a fashion slave, has a driver's suit that mimics the camo pattern of National Guard troops — green camo, and light brown driver's shoes. Dan is fine, and will live to shop for shoes again.
– Oriol Servia was seen in the Rahal Letterman Racing garage today, doing nothing to dispel rumors that he's tagged to drive this second weekend effort.
– No word on who will drive Marty Roth's cars next weekend. Marty is the only one that seems to know, or at least that's what Roth team members are telling AR1. Tim Wohlford reporting from Indy
