32 Arrested Outside Indy Speedway
Thirty-two people were arrested Saturday night and Sunday morning outside Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Indiana State Police said most of the arrests were on charges of public intoxication or disorderly conduct. Sgt. Anthony Emery said that's a typical number of arrests on the night before the Indianapolis 500. Many fans roam the streets and consume alcohol many hours before the big race, and it is the only open wheel race in the USA that is typical of a NASCAR crowd – fans camping out, drinking themselves into a stupor, and….well, what happens when men and woman drink themselves silly……If we told you some of the things we saw this weekend at the Speedway your eyes would roll.
