Joy, Wheeler, McGriff guests on Wind Tunnel
Wind Tunnel will start 30 minutes later tonight. It will air at 9:30 pm – 10:30 pm ET live on SPEED.
06/18/09 Mike Joy, veteran motorsports anchor, will be the guest host on Wind Tunnel this Sunday, June 21, while Dave Despain is on vacation. Mike is the host of FOX's NASCAR broadcasts in addition to being one of SPEED's reporters on the very popular Barrett-Jackson car auction shows.
H.A. “Humpy" Wheeler, former President and GM of Lowe’s Motor Speedway, will be a featured interview on Wind Tunnel this Sunday. "Humpy" Wheeler is known as being one of the best racing promoters the industry has ever seen. So if he were in charge of the IndyCar Series, what would he do to get the series more exposure and gain fan interest?
Hershel McGriff, veteran NASCAR racer, will also be a featured interview on Wind Tunnel. 81-year old Hershel McGriff is an inspiration to all those ‘old’ guys out there that just want to have some fun! He raced in the very first NASCAR race at Darlington in 1950 and he'll be racing a NASCAR Camping World West Series race this weekend in Sonoma.
Please note that Wind Tunnel will air 30 minutes later than normal this week. The show will air live on Sunday, June 21 at 9:30 pm – 10:30 pm ET followed by the live Wind Tunnel EXTRA internet show airing from 10:30 pm – 11:00 pm ET on SPEEDTV.com.
