F1’s Raikkonen, Hamilton on Forbes sports list
(GMM) Kimi Raikkonen is the world's highest-earning racing driver, Forbes magazine claims in its latest athletes rich list.
Equal with American basketball players Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, the Finn ranks second behind sport's highest earner Tiger Woods ($110m).
Forbes said Ferrari's Raikkonen, Jordan and Bryant each earn $45m per year, including retainers, personal sponsorships and other interests.
29-year-old Raikkonen ranks ahead of famous footballer David Beckham, with $42m in annual earnings, while motor racing's second-highest paid star is Valentino Rossi ($35m).
Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton makes an appearance at 13th with his $32m.
