NASCAR throws competition yellow

NASCAR threw the caution after lap 35 of the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 today at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The competition caution was so teams could check Goodyear tire wear as overnight rains had washed rubber off the track. Teams were not allowed to fuel the cars from the start of the race until the competition caution. Teams were informed of the competition caution during the prerace drivers meeting.
