Rojas Puts Lexus On Pole At Daytona
Memo Rojas captured the pole position for Saturday’s Brumos 250 at Daytona International Speedway to give Lexus its fourth pole of the season in Grand-American Rolex Sports Car Series competition.
In addition to the four pole positions, the #01 Telmex Lexus has now qualified on the front row for each of the past six races since the season-opening Rolex 24.
Joining Rojas and co-driver Scott Pruett in today’s field are Sprint Cup drivers Kyle Busch and Scott Speed in a second Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus. Despite just one previous test session, Busch improved throughout the morning qualifying session to an eventual 11th-place starting position.
Today’s race is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., prior to the evening’s NASCAR Sprint Cup event. More later…..
