Raikkonen escapes penalty for Sutil clash

(GMM) Stewards did not penalize Kimi Raikkonen for his collision with Force India's Adrian Sutil during the German grand prix.

After the Nurburgring race, the FIA officials interviewed both Sutil and Finland's Raikkonen, who collided at the first corner.

The clash ruined a strong weekend for Sutil, who looked on course for a points finish until he had to return to the pits for a new nose.

Ferrari's Raikkonen told reporters in the paddock that the clash was "just a normal racing incident", and the stewards later agreed.

A statement said they "decided that the incident requires no further action".
