Colombian driver Londono killed by assassins
(GMM) Ricardo Londono was killed in Colombia on Saturday, according to the South American country's Caracol Radio and the newspaper El Tiempo.
Aged 59 when killed by assassins, Londono had practiced for the 1981 Brazilian grand prix with Ensign at Jacarepagua, but because he did not receive an FIA license he was replaced for the actual race by Marc Surer.
The assassins reportedly used guns to kill Londono and two of his business colleagues.
