Management of driver Doornbos bankrupt

BREDA – The court in Breda Tuesday morning has given the bankruptcy of GR8 Industries, working in the motorsports and football.

The court ruled that the management company could not fulfill its obligations to a large number of small creditors, and therefore to a receiver.

The creditors include suppliers, the father of a driver, the operator of a website, a photographer, a travel agent and a FIFA-approved broker.

GR8 Industries worked in the past for Formula 1 driver Christijan Albers and until recently also as drivers Robert Doornbos, Yelmer Buurman and Renger van der Zande. Albers broke in 2007 with his manager Lodewijk Varossieau, founder of GR8. Even then there was a row over payments which caused the break-up between parties.

The question is what else will happen with the management of Robert Doornbos, who debuted this year in the Indy Racing League. Varossieu its counsel Mr. Boudewijn Cremers commissioned the bankruptcy ruling on appeal to challenge. According Cremers, a large number of contested claims.
