Ride Pocono Raceway for Victory Junction

On Sunday, August 2nd, Race Fans attending the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 will have the unique opportunity to take a lap around Pocono Raceway’s 2.5 mile Super Speedway and help a worthy cause, Kyle and Pattie Petty’s Victory Junction.

For a $10 donation, fans can take a ride on a Martz Bus, with all proceeds benefiting Victory Junction. Rides are available for both infield and grandstand spectators from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Infield fans will be able to access the Infield Martz Bus via a gate located on the turn #3 side of Pit Road entrance. Grandstand spectators will be able to access the Grandstand Martz Bus at the over the track crossing near the entrance of Turn #1.

Victory Junction is a year-round camp that serves children, ages six to 16, with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses. During the summer, the camp offers week-long, disease-specific sessions with up to 128 children per session. During the fall, winter and spring months the camp is open for family weekend, where up to 32 families can attend. .

Due to the generosity of corporations, organizations and individuals, no child or family has to incur the cost of attending Victory Junction. A special addition to the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 Weekend of Speed are two evenings of some of the top Blue Grass artists in the nation including Ricky Skaggs, Steep Canyon Rangers, Charlie Sizemore Band, Dailey & Vincent, Del McCoury Band, Cherryholmes, Blue Highway and SteelDrivers. The concerts, being presented by Yabutz.com, are free to infield campers attending the race. Additionally grandstand fans can also attend the concerts by purchasing a one day infield ticket for $25 or a 2 day infield ticket for $40 in addition to their grandstand tickets. Action for the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 Weekend of Speed begins on Friday, July 31st with practice for the ARCA RE/MAX Series and the NASCAR Sprint Cup series and Weis Markets Pole Day. Action on Saturday, August 1st includes final practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at 11:20am and the ARCA RE/MAX Series Pennsylvania 200 at 1:00pm. The Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 is scheduled to get the green flag on Sunday, August 2nd at 2:00pm.
