Fernandez and Diaz talk about M-O race
For the first time this season, the Lowe’s Fernandez Racing duo of Adrian Fernandez and Luis Diaz seek to get back on the winning track in the American Le Mans Series’ LMP2 class. The pairing finished second with their Acura ARX-01b in the most recent round at Lime Rock Park but still own a considerable championship lead over Dyson Racing entering Saturday’s Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The upcoming stretch of three races in four weeks will be critical in maintaining their title aspirations, both say.
Adrian Fernandez
“The consistency, not making mistakes and doing what we’re doing… I think everything we’ve been improving from last year is working. We just have to keep doing the same."
Luis Diaz
“Obviously for us it will be the most important part of the season. It’s going to be the toughest because our competition is getting close and Mid-Ohio is a very nice place to drive. It’s a very complete track; you have all kinds of turns there and it’s a very fast place. We have had a good success with this team in Mid-Ohio and hopefully we can repeat the good result there and keep scoring points. That is the most important thing for us."
