Senna hopeful of 2010 F1 debut

(GMM) Bruno Senna says his chances of making his formula one debut soon are better than they were at the same time last year.

The nephew of the late triple world champion Ayrton Senna, who this year has not raced full time after finishing runner-up in the 2008 GP2 championship, was under consideration for the Brawn seat that ultimately was retained by Valencia winner Rubens Barrichello.

"This year things seem much more exciting for me as last year it was tough due to Honda (Brawn) not really being prepared to take a risk with a new driver," the 25-year-old Brazilian said on a visit this week to the site of the inaugural Abu Dhabi grand prix.

"Or maybe I could not prove that I was good enough for them," Senna is quoted as saying by the local Gulf News.

He is now being strongly linked with the new Spanish team Campos.

"The odds are much better this year and the scenario too is different. So far I have been speaking to at least four F1 teams," insisted Senna.
