Sell out possible for Singapore GP

Singapore GP Pte Ltd have announced that two more categories of tickets to the 2009 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX are sold out.

The three-day walkabout pass, as well as the Esplanade Waterfront Grandstand seats, are no longer available following continuing strong sales. This brings the total tickets sold thus far to 82% of the announced 249,000 capacity (83,000 per day).

The largest grandstand – the Bay Grandstand with well over 20,000 seats – is selling equally strongly. Grand Prix organizers expect the remaining seats in the grandstand to sell out this week.

Additionally close to 2,000 ticket holders have signed up for the lucky draw to attend the drivers’ autograph session taking place on the evening of 24 September at the Circuit Park. Thirty five pairs of special passes are available to all ticket holders. Registration for the ballot ends on 16 September. Details can be found at www.singaporegp.sg/contest/index.php
