Sutil says top pace at Monza genuine

(GMM) Adrian Sutil on Friday said his pace at the wheel of the Force India at Monza on Friday afternoon was genuine.

The German topped the second 90 minute session after displaying consistently fast pace throughout, and he was also third quickest in the morning.

"The progress we have made in the last two races is amazing," he said. "We now have a very good car and here it is a very nice setup."

Sutil's former teammate Giancarlo Fisichella, who was on pole position and finished second at Spa two weeks ago, was at the bottom of the time sheets on Friday afternoon having made his dream switch to Ferrari.

Sutil, who said a top five qualifying result on Saturday is his minimum target, said he wasn't feeling envious of his former colleague's move to F1's most famous team.

"Actually I think that at the moment we have the better car," said the 26-year-old.
