Abu Dhabi promoters to finally get control of track

The organizers of Abu Dhabi's first Formula 1 Grand Prix will officially take over the track at the end of this week, its CEO confirmed. The move will mark the first in a series of handovers from developer Aldar to the organizers, Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management (ADMM), Richard Cregan told Arabian Business.

"It's actually going to be handed over in the next couple of days," Cregan said. "The track will be handed over first and then all of the buildings will be handed over as they are commissioned. That's going to happen in the next couple of weeks.

"Now we know the track has been delivered, we need to work on the finer points and go around and check the detail and make sure that all of the safety features are according to the FIA schedule."
