2010 Brickyard 400 Tickets On Sale Now
Fans have three methods to purchase tickets for one of the premier races on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule:
*Online: Visit the Tickets section of www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com.
*Phone: Call the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area.
*In person: Visit the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street.
Online orders can be made at any time. Hours for phone orders and the ticket office are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday.
Tickets for groups of 20 or more also are on sale. Contact the IMS Group Sales Department at (866) 221-8775 for more information.
Several storylines already exist that will make the 2010 Brickyard 400 a compelling event. With his victory in 2009, Jimmie Johnson became only the second driver to win the Brickyard 400 at least three times, along with Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon, who has a record four wins. Johnson could join Gordon in the exclusive four-win category and also become the first driver in "400" history to reel off three-consecutive wins, having won in 2008 and 2009.
Furthermore, Gordon is overdue for another Brickyard 400 win and could join Formula One legend Michael Schumacher as the only drivers to win a major-league event at "The Racing Capital of the World" five times.
Columbus, Ind., native Tony Stewart had high hopes for scoring his third career NASCAR victory at IMS and his first as an owner-driver in 2009, but he had to settle for a third-place finish. He and his Stewart-Haas Racing teammate, Ryan Newman, are as hungry as ever for victory at IMS.
Established in 1909, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has long prevailed as an icon of motorsports excellence. In 2010, the Speedway continues the celebration of its Centennial Era, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the facility in 2009 and the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in 2011.
