Vitantonio Liuzzi Added to SSC East PRI Line Up

The Performance Racing Industry trade show and Championship Karting International program are excited to announce the addition of Formula One star Vitantonio Liuzzi to the PRI/CKI Karting All-Star Classic. Liuzzi will be aboard a CRG chassis under the SSC East tent.

Liuzzi, who drives for the Force India Formula One team, is a multi time karting champion from back in the day. Starting karting at the age of nine, he won the 1993 Italian Karting Championship and was the vice-champion in the 1995 Karting World Championship. Liuzzi would get redemption in 2001 when he was awarded the World Championship after an aspiring drive in Germany.

“Vitantonio Liuzzi is a major player in the motorsports world, and we welcome him to the PRI event," expressed Director of Operations Kevin Williams. “Having Formula One represented at the event is something that we have worked towards this season and are excited to have Vitantonio on board. He will be a treat to watch."

With support from William Rast Racing, the racing and sport lifestyle division of the premium denim brand William Rast, Liuzzi will travel to the United States to compete. Working with Dave Davies’ SSC East squad, Liuzzi will have a strong chance at being the first Formula One driver to claim the PRI title. William Rast CEO Coin Dyne says, "We are excited that Antonio will participate in the race. As one of the great karting champions of all time, his contribution to the sport has been immeasurable. Both as a personal friend of Tonio, and as a fan of the sport, William Rast is proud to take part in this event."
