Korea on track for 2010 GP debut
(GMM) Organizers of a grand prix in South Korea have scotched rumors the inaugural event might not appear on Friday's final version of the 2010 formula one calendar.
The South Cholla event is provisionally scheduled for October next year, but rumors emerged this week at the Motor Sport Business Forum in Monaco.
"It is totally on plan," race official Kevin Lee said in the Principality on Thursday.
"We have a plan to finish the whole construction work at the circuit on July 5 next year and up until now it is roughly 60 percent done," he added.
Provisional versions of the 2010 calendar feature 19 rounds; two more than this season and the highest number since 2005.
