No Durango team for GP2 in 2010

The GP2 field will be reduced to 24 cars next season, because ongoing financial problems have sidelined the Italian Durango squad indefinitely, this week's AUTOSPORT magazine reveals.

Durango missed the final two rounds of the 2009 main series and has been ruled out of the current Asia series. Series organizer Bruno Michel admitted that the team is unlikely to return.

"At the moment it doesn't looks like they will be on the grid for 2010," he told AUTOSPORT. "We are always open to trying to find solutions, but that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment."
