Toyota GP of Long Beach picks up another sponsor

SA Recycling, a world leader in the metal recycling and processing industry, will be a first-time Official Sponsor of the 36th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, April 16-18.

A full service ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycler and processor, SA Recycling helps individuals and corporations realize true economic value from the scrap metal recycling process. SA Recycling has over 40 recycling locations throughout the southwestern United States, including the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.

"SA Recycling is a welcome addition and a natural fit for us," said Jim Michaelian, President and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. "Their efforts will complement our Lifestyle Expo's ground-breaking 'Green Power Prix-View,' which highlights a wide variety of eco-friendly activities for home, office and on the road."

SA Recycling will have a booth in the Expo, and part of its service will include placing recycling containers throughout the 1.97-mile racing circuit.

"We're proud to become part of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, a tradition that defines what, in part, makes Long Beach a unique city," said SA Recycling General Manager Moises Figueroa. "SA Recycling is committed to the environment and collecting all the recyclable materials generated in the three-day event."

Annually, SA Recycling diverts three million tons of metal away from landfills at its more than 40 facilities throughout the Southwestern United States. The facilities include such state-of-the-art equipment as Mega-Shredders, which can shred large volumes of metal in just seconds, as well as an industry-first sorting system designed to recover aluminum, brass and other non-ferrous metals from the shredded material.

For the second consecutive year, ticket prices for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach have remained unchanged. Tickets for the three-day event range from $25 for a Friday General Admission ticket to $125 for a three-day ticket that includes Sat./Sun. reserved seating in grandstand upper levels. Pre-paid parking packages are also available, along with handicapped seating, IndyCar Paddock passes, Super Photo tickets and a wide variety of Hospitality Club packages including the all-new Vista Club located high atop the Hyatt Regency Long Beach.
