Upgrades underway for Silverstone
The pressure is on the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire to complete redevelopment after being awarded the British F1 Grand Prix for 17 years.
Work will finish on time to stage major events this year, according to managing director Richard Philips.
About £7m is being spent on creating an extension to the track, laying new curbs and upgrading spectator stands.
Work is due to be finished by March in time for the 2010 Grand Prix in July, Moto GP and World Superbikes. BBC
