Major activation underway for Brazil IndyCar race

Promoters of the São Paulo Indy 300 have several activation plans in place to promote the IZOD IndyCar Series season-opener in Brazil, including media buys and ad placement on national television and in national print publications.

Ad placement promoting the São Paulo Indy 300 on Bandeirantes Group will be nationwide in Brazil and will be included in broadcast television, on radio networks and in major newspapers and magazines.

Another activation activity to promote the event includes the exhibition of an IZOD IndyCar Series display at the Anhembi Convention Center in São Paulo, one of the largest event grounds in South America. The display has been exhibited near one of the convention center's entrances since December 2009 and has been viewed by thousands of people.

IZOD IndyCar Series drivers are also working to promote the event and will participate in a photo opportunity with Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva February 2. Drivers participating in the event include Brazil natives Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan, Mario Moraes, Raphael Matos and Vitor Meira.

Many other promotional efforts are in place to endorse the event that will be run on the 2.6-mile, 11 turn circuit that mirrors the metropolis of São Paulo – built for speed and excitement. The event marks the first IZOD IndyCar Series race contested in South America.
