McDowell to run full 2010 Sprint Cup schedule

It was announced today that Michael McDowell will be running full-time this season in the Prism Motorsports in the #55 Sprint Cup Series car. Initially it was announced that McDowell would be running a second car to Dave Blaney, but only on a partial schedule. The Prism Motorsports team attempted all 36 Sprint Cup Series races in 2010 with their #66 car, with Terry Labonte in the Daytona 500, Blaney in 34 races and McDowell at Talladega. There are no specifics on sponsor or crew details yet, but we will keep you posted. McDowell is an aggressive driver with a lot of talent, and reminds us of Kurt Busch in a lot of ways. If he gets a decent car and crew chief, he could do really well.
