Hamilton tops final day of Jerez testing
After rain yesterday, Lewis Hamilton set fast time on Saturday in the dry |
McLaren's Lewis Hamilton languished at the bottom of the time sheets for the majority of winter F1 testing at Jerez, but at the end of the final day the McLaren team drained the fuel tank and he went out and put in a series of fast laps to finish at 1m19.583s.
Up until that time Jamie Alguersuari's 1m19.919s Friday morning stood as the best time of the test.
Weather has played a part is this test, but in only 4 days testing resumes at Jerez on Wednesday.
