Force India’s Key resurfaces at Sauber
(GMM) Less than 24 hours after he vacated his post at Force India, James Key has re-emerged as Sauber's new technical director.
The Swiss team announced the move on Wednesday, revealing that long time technical director Willy Rampf, 56, is stepping down.
38-year-old Key will start his new job in 1 April, as the formula one world embarks on its back-to-back dash between the Australian and Malaysian grands prix.
"I very much look forward to starting my new job," said the Briton, who will relocate his family from the UK to Switzerland.
Peter Sauber said Rampf and Key will devote the month of April to the "handover" of the role.
"I have done my job with a passion for ten years, but now it's time to hand over the baton," said Rampf, who will leave the Hinwil based team at the end of April.
