Bookies pick Johnson to win in Vegas

Four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson has been selected as the odds-on favorite to win Sunday's Shelby American at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Fred Crespi, Director of Race and Sports for The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, no doubt was influenced by Johnson's three consecutive victories at LVMS in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

The Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet driver will start Sunday's 400-mile race at 4/1 – ahead of local hero (and last year's winner) Kyle Busch at 7/1 and 2010 Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray at 35/1. Veteran Mark Martin, who won the inaugural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race here in 1998 and was a solid championship contender in 2009, is ranked second at 13/2.
