Atlanta attendance horrible
A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, The amount of empty seats on the front stretch at today's Atlanta Sprint Cup race is HUGE. My bet is that they never show that shot again. I bet they tell us it's a sell out! Tim DeCesaro
Another reader writes, I flipped on the NASCAR/France owned Grand Am race yesterday it was dark but when the cars came down the main straight -away that there was no one in the stands. Oh maybe a few people but can you tell me why does the Grand Am series continue when there is so little interest from the fans? What a waste of time and money to run a series that draws so few fans to the track? The France family is wealthy but there to come a point in time when they say enough is enough. I predict that as soon as they kill off the ALMS the France family will deep-six the Grand-Am series. That must be the only reason this series exists. Mike Bauer, Indiana
