Webber says impossible to overtake
Having complained that overtaking was impossible via his personal Twitter account, Webber reiterated the point to Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph. "It got pretty boring," the Red Bull driver said.
"I spent 48 laps staring at a the gearboxes of first Schumacher and then Button and there was nothing I could do to pass them. I tried everything – different lines, pressure, everything – but they're both good drivers and neither of them made a mistake. If I'd tried to force the issue it would have ended in a crash."
Mark went on to stress that the technical rules must be changed in order to improve the show. "I was pretty shocked by how hard it was to overtake and it doesn't bode well for any of the 1-stop races on the calendar, when everyone is going to be following pretty much the same strategy," the double race winner continued.
"We can only hope that other circuits will lend themselves to overtaking more than Sakhir."
