Why is there no IndyCar reality show?

We cannot see why there is such a void of Indy Car personalities in the general media. No follow shows, no reality shows, no inside guide shows! Maybe we're the crazy one here, but for a series that lacks mainstream media coverage, and for a series that suffers from unknown drivers (except Danica, Dario for obvious reasons, and Helio from "Dancing With The Stars"), you would think that the IRL would do ANYTHING to link fans to their drivers/teams. The series HAS interesting characters and good racing (as evidenced this past weekend in Brazil).

As an example of the power of reality television, look at "The Ultimate Fighter" series on SPIKE TV. Through the reality show, fans have become linked to the stars of the UFC and even go so far as to purchase the pay-per-view broadcasts to see how each of the UFC characters do in their bouts. People know the characters in the UFC because of the reality show! Another good example of promotion through the media is the spike in race broadcast ratings and overall coverage when there is drama revolving around the characters in the series. Who can forget the Paul Tracy Vs. Tagliani & Bourdais fights of 2006! An Indy Car reality show can produce the same drama.

It would seem obvious then that Indy Car, which suffers from a lack of exposure of their drivers, should do whatever they can to create a link between their unknown drivers & team owners and the fans. A reality television show which highlights the lives, backgrounds and feelings of the interesting drivers and team owners, creates connections with fans and gives a compelling reason for fans to tune into the Indy Car broadcasts!
