Honda posts big gains

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced its consolidated financial results for the fiscal fourth quarter and the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010. Consolidated net sales and other operating revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, 2010 amounted to JPY 2,279.5 billion (approx. $24.31 billion), an increase of 27.8% compared to the same period last year, primarily due to increased sales in all business segments and the favorable impact of currency translation. For the Fiscal Year ended March 31, 2010, consolidated operating income amounted to JPY 363.7 billion (approx. $3.87 billion), an increase of 91.8% compared to the same period last year.
