Ana Beatriz

Brazilian driver Ana Beatriz will drive the No. 25 car for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing at the Indianapolis 500, it was announced on Monday.

This rounds out a sizeable group of female drivers for this years 500 miles spectacle. Danica Patrick, Simona deSilvestro, Sarah Fisher, Milka Duno and Ana Beatriz. We also hear that Pippa Mann might squeeze into rookie orientation and give it a go, which could be six pairs of "X" chromosomes in the field, which could give the name of that group of drivers and their impact on the race "The X Factor"

It will be the team's fourth entry in the race. Beatriz made her IndyCar debut in Brazil earlier this year. She has competed in Indy Lights the last two seasons, and was third in championship points in 2008.

"I'm very excited to be back in an Izod IndyCar with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing and to be competing in the biggest open-wheel event in the world, the Indianapolis 500," Beatriz said.
