Battery Tender joins IMSA

Battery Tender joined the list of official partners for the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr¢n and sanctioning body International Motor Sports Association on Friday. A producer of a full line of battery chargers using the most advanced levels of technology, Battery Tender increased its participation in IMSA and the Series, one of IMSA’s five sanctioned road-racing championships.

Battery Tender, which is also a key partner with Alex Job Racing’s No. 23 GT Challenge Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, will focus on participation in the upcoming May 29 CBS Sports Spectacular special – Racing into Darkness – that will chronicle this weekend’s six-hour race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. In addition, Battery Tender will concentrate on key business-to-business opportunities with at-track hospitality.

“DelTran Battery Tender is honored to be named the official battery charger of IMSA," said Mike Prelec, President and CEO. “We pride ourselves with producing state of the art technology and a reliable product. This is our first year in American Le Mans Series competition and already it has gone above and beyond in helping us build lasting business relationships. Battery Tender also is excited to be associated with such a prestigious and successful team as Alex Job Racing. We look forward to each and every upcoming race."

“We welcome Battery Tender as another premium brand to our Series," said Scott Atherton, President and CEO of the American Le Mans Series. “It has clearly established itself as a leader of technology in its field, a position that fits perfectly with our platform of leadership in relevant technology."

Each Deltran Battery Tender Battery Charger® – regardless of size- is programmed with a microprocessor that will correctly charge a battery then automatically switch to a maintenance/float mode.

The family-owned and operated company originally advanced its proprietary technology on nuclear submarines. Today, many are used in the Bradley Fighting Vehicles and HUMMVs in Iraq and Afghanistan.
