Pikes Peak expands media reach
The coverage will not only boost awareness and attendance at the nation's second biggest racing event, but will broaden an already growing international audience for American auto racing, said Sports Corp. consultant Mike Moran. Following the 2007 race, Nobuhiro Tajima's performance drew almost 100,000 hits on YouTube alone.
About 200,000 local fans turn out to watch the race annually.
Race Central TV will air rebroadcasts of the 2009 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb during June, a show featured on Altitude Sports & Entertainment, and produce various interviews for Race Central Radio with drivers and racers entered in the 2010 event on June 27.
Race Central TV, Race Central Radio and Race Central Webcasts are the productions of Motorsports Media Group, Inc.
A selling point for PPIHC is that Race Central TV reaches tens of millions of American homes, which in turn, enables its sponsors and partners to reach a definite target audience, Moran said.
Race Central Radio can be heard every Friday Night from 6-8 PM MST on Colorado's Sporting News Radio affiliate, Mile High Sport Radio AM 1510, part of the Altitude Sports Radio Network and can be heard around the world via the World Wide Web by going to www.racecentralmedia.com and clicking the "listen live" link.
