Lotus running new wing in Turkey

The debutant Lotus team will be rolling out brand-new rear wings on the cars of Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen in Turkey this weekend. The update is one of several for Istanbul, with both mechanical and aerodynamic parts have been transported to the circuit.

Of Formula 1's three new teams this year, Lotus continues hold the edge it has possessed since the start of the campaign and now hopes to pull further away from Virgin Racing and Hispania as it targets the back of more established outfits.
We'll be using our new pillar-mounted rear wing here and have some new parts which will enable us to optimize the weight distribution, so again, I'm quietly confident we'll bridge the gap to those in front that little bit more," Technical Director Mike Gascoyne said on Thursday afternoon.

"We're fully prepared and I'm looking forward to practice tomorrow to see what the new wing gives us and where we are after seeing such good pace in the car in Monaco," Finn Kovalainen added. GPUpdate.net
