New Indy engine rules – no Delta Wing?

Many have read the new engine rules and assumed that they rule out the prospect of a Delta Wing design competing in the IndyCar series. However, we must all be careful to note that the rules talk about a maximum of 6 cylinders and 2.4 liters. That is not to say the engine must be so.

The main point of note is that the rules do not specify a stressed member or not.
