NASCAR investigating potential Kvapil violation
NASCAR is looking into an issue with the Front Row Motorsports No. 38 car following the Gillette Fusion ProGlide 500 on Sunday at Pocono Raceway, NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston said Monday.
Poston would not disclose the issue with the car. The car was driven by Travis Kvapil to a 22nd-place finish in the race.
Any penalties would be announced later this week.
The No. 38 team is 32nd in the owner standings and has an 84-point cushion over 36th-place Robby Gordon. A penalty of more than 84 points would knock the team outside the top 35 and would result in the loss of a guaranteed position for at least the next race.
A Front Row Motorsports spokesman said the team will not comment until NASCAR rules on the issue. SceneDaily.com
