Featured Interview Forrest Lucas (Co-Founder, Lucas Oil)

Forrest Lucas, the Co-founder of Lucas Oil and major supporter of American motorsports, will be a featured interview on Wind Tunnel this Sunday June 13th. From drag racing and tractor pulls to off-road racing and motocross, Lucas Oil sponsors them all and a lot more. So how did Forrest become such a big fan of motorsports and how does his company benefit from sponsoring such a wide array of events? We’ll ask him.

Featured Interview Ken Block (World Rally Driver for Ford Motor Company)

World Rally and Rally America driver, Ken Block, will also be a featured guest on Wind Tunnel this Sunday. Growing up as a youngster, Block was always a fan of rally racing but it wasn’t until his friend, Travis Pastrana, got into the sport that Ken got involved as a racer.

Ken’s company, DC Shoes, sponsored Travis and when Travis went rally racing, Block gave him full support. Now that Ken was around the sport he loved on a regular basis, he decided to give it a shot. And in just his rookie year in 2005, he finished 4th in the Rally America championship to claim Rookie of the Year honors. The following season, he finished 2nd in the championship to his buddy Pastrana who began a string of 4 consecutive title runs.

For 2010, and off the success of his YouTube Gymkhana videos, Ken has signed with Ford Motor Company to race in the World Rally Championship as well as the Rally America Championship. We’ll talk to Ken about his new deal with Ford, his goals for the future, and find out how his super-famous YouTube videos came about.
