Massa penalized 20 seconds, Kubica and Alguersuari warned

Following a miserable Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, which saw him fight his way into the points prior to a collision with Michael Schumacher's Mercedes, Felipe Massa has been handed a 20 second time penalty for pit lane speeding.

After starting sixth, Brazilian Massa made contact with Tonio Liuzzi's Force India at Turns 1 and 2, resulting in an additional pit-stop.

Having fought his way back through the field – which included a superb pass on Adrian Sutil – the Ferrari driver's charge came to an end following a controversial block by Schumacher on Lap 63.

Following the race, FIA stewards have now added an extra 20 seconds to Felipe's race time for speeding in the pit lane, although he remains 15th after finishing a lap down.

Robert Kubica and Jaime Alguersuari have both been given reprimands by the race Stewards for separate incidents.

Kubica was reprimanded for a dangerous entry to the pits. The Renault driver was running side-by-side down the straight before the final chicane, on the inside of Force India driver Adrian Sutil, and when they arrived at the pit entrance Kubica dove across the front of Sutil to enter the pits, cutting his right rear tire in the process.

Toro Rosso driver Alguersuari was reprimanded because he cut in front of Rubens Barrichello's Williams when braking for the hairpin on lap 11, and the two made contact, necessitating both drivers taking to the pits for repairs.
