Brickyard 400 drops ticket prices…

General admission tickets will be available for Brickyard 400 Race Day – at a value price of just $40 each – for the first time at this year's event, Sunday, July 25 at the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway.

Children 12 and under also will be admitted to the grounds free on any day of the event, July 23-25, if accompanied by an adult holding a general admission ticket for that day.

Fans are encouraged to buy Race Day general admission tickets in advance. General admission tickets can be purchased during Brickyard 400 race weekend, including Race Day, at the IMS ticket office and at satellite ticket offices, located outside of Gates 3, 6, 9 and 10. Race Day general admission tickets will not be sold at the gate at any time during race weekend.

Advance general admission tickets can be ordered online at www.imstix.com, by calling the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area or by visiting the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street. Online orders can be made at any time. Hours for phone orders and the ticket office are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday, with extended hours and days during race weekend.

"There's one reason why we're introducing a general admission ticket for Race Day at the Brickyard 400 – the fans," said Jeff Belskus, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation president and chief executive officer. "Growing numbers of fans have requested a general admission ticket for our NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race like we offer for the Indianapolis 500 and Red Bull Indianapolis GP, and we're happy to satisfy that popular demand."

A general admission ticket grants access to the IMS grounds during the race, including spectator areas in the vast infield. Popular infield viewing spots, such as the Family Viewing Mounds, Second Turn Viewing Mounds, Back Stretch Viewing Mounds and Third Turn Viewing Mounds, are great places for general admission fans to see the exciting, fender-banging NASCAR action at IMS in a festival-like atmosphere.

New infield attractions on Race Day will be announced soon for families and those seeking a party atmosphere, adding even more value to the purchase of a general admission Race Day ticket.

All fans, regardless of age, must have a reserved seat ticket for admission to seating areas.

The 17th annual Brickyard 400 is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. (ET) Sunday, July 25 at IMS.
