Force team wins Full Throttle hard working crew award
A week after winning his fourth Wally of the season, John Force had a lot of track to cover from his No. 16 qualifying spot at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. Continuing to prove that no one should count him out this season, the 14-time champion knocked off the No. 1 qualifier, his daughter, Ashley Force Hood, as well as fellow Funny Car driver Paul Lee and John Force Racing teammate Robert Hight en route to the 208th final appearance of his legendary career.
“I came all the way from the cellar, the 16th spot, but Mike Neff, (Austin) Coil and Bernie (Fedderly) they have done a great job with this Mustang to put us up in the points lead," Force said.
“I have a great group of guys on my Castrol GTX High Mileage team and it is not just my team that can accept this award. All three of my teams including Robert’s Auto Club guys and Ashley’s Castrol GTX guys helped us throughout the day on Sunday. We win together and that is part of the One Ford approach we have here at John Force Racing. I want to thank Full Throttle for this award and for their support of all of NHRA drag racing."
